We've been working on getting Weston prepared to blow out the birthday candles on his 2nd birthday cake. We've been practicing on things like hot foods, bubbles, and candles. We had a teachable moment while we were out on a recent walk (or a "ride in da cah'" as Weston would say from his little red coupe) so we took advantage of the opportunity. It seemed there were seeding dandelions EVERYWHERE so we picked a bunch and showed Weston how to use his breath to scatter the fluffy seeds. After a few tries, he got it! The next night, he showed us he understood when he blew at a picture of dandelions (or, as Weston would call them, 'fluffies') in one of his books. He looks so darn cute with his little pursed lips. Bring on the birthday candles!
