A Minnesota Snow Day

On days when it takes 8 attempts to get up the driveway, there's no sense in leaving the house.  Last Sunday, we made one trip out to get to church and then spent more than 20 minutes driving the mile back to our house! After numerous failed attempts to make it up the driveway, we decided it would be best to hunker down and have a snow day.  We took Weston out for a ride around the neighborhood in his little blue sled and he had a blast.  It wasn't too cold and the snow was actually quite beautiful.  It made all the trees look ready for Christmas.  Plus, it was the kind of snow that makes the perfect crunch underfoot.  I love that sound ;)

Our driveway has the perfect slope for a toddler's first sledding experience.  Check out the videos of Mommy's sledding approach versus Daddy's sledding approach! Mommy has the gentle, practical approach and Daddy felt it was necessary to whip out some sled shi**ies in the driveway. That Daddy... sometimes he is way more fun than Mommy!

I love where he notices the footprints! I didn't even know that he knew that word.

We had a fun day being snowed in and everything cleared up in time to get to work on Monday morning.  I'm looking forward to more time in the snow with my munchkin this winter.  Maybe we'll try a bigger hill next time.
