Instead of printing and mailing a Christmas letter this year, we've directed many of you to check out our blog and follow along with us all year long. Thanks for checking in with us!
Here's a peek into what 2012 was like for the Smolenskys.
Tom was promoted to Senior Project Manager and became responsible for mentoring new employees. He also functions as the manager for several other PMs. He is working a lot with software QA and managing software releases. He continues to travel all around the country to train clients. He really enjoys the challenges of his job and he likes his coworkers. Tom's big personal accomplishment for the year was losing 20 pounds!
I continued to work for a local fixtures and printing company. My role changed a bit this year as I took on the responsibility of managing projects for one of our clients. I am also doing some blogging and web content writing for the company's website. The main function of my job continues to be taking phone calls and responding to customer email inquiries in a customer service/sales role. My biggest accomplishment this year was an ongoing New Year's resolution to SIMPLIFY. My goal was to not purchase any new clothing in 2012. I did a pretty good job!
Westonator turned 2 in June and has turned into quite the little boy. We enjoy listening to the crazy things he says with his ever-expanding vocabulary. He's a very sweet boy, yet he is also very energetic and outgoing. He is definitely not a shy kid! He likes to watch movies, dance, and play outside. He also likes to play with his toys, especially his trucks and cars. He is our world and we love him to pieces! You'll get to see lots of Weston pictures and hear lots of Weston stories if you keep up with our blog.
Some of the highlights from the year include a family vacation spent lakeside in Minnesota, a trip to the University of Minnesota, Morris where Tom got to play in the alumni baseball game, getting bikes and a trailer and exploring the local trails, purchasing a piano, and finishing the basement in our town home. We were very blessed to experience a year full of simple pleasures and good health. We hope 2013 brings more of the same.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
