We went to W's three year well-baby checkup yesterday so we got an update on his growth and development. He can count and recognize letters better than most kids his age but he had trouble with a couple of basic questions so we have some things to work on. For example, he could not tell the doctor how old he was or whether he was a boy or girl. He passed his hearing and vision tests with great results and he did great with the physical commands (drawing a circle, jumping, etc.). We had some concerns about potty training and some of his poo habits so we got a recommendation to stop potty training efforts until after the baby is born and a suggestion to add Miralax to his beverages. Overall, he's a very healthy little boy. He did not have any visits to the doctor this year other than his preventative checkup. What a blessing! I can only hope and pray that he continues to be a healthy, thriving little boy.
Height: 37.5 inches/53 percentile-He grew 3.5 inches is one year! Wow!
Weight: 30 pounds/32 percentile
BMI: 15/17 percentile
As the doctor politely phrased it, "Weston is on the trim side." In other words, we have a skinny kid. They stop measuring head circumference at this stage. I can tell you his head is still on the small side, but at least nobody is pointing it out to me on paper anymore! You know what is is not on the small side? Weston's feet! Holy buckets! The kids definitely has my feet and not Tom's. Sometimes, if I catch a glimpse of his feet at just the right angle, it's as if I am looking at my own feet. He is currently outgrowing his size 9 shoes.
