Our Westonator turned two last weekend!
Grandma came up a little early and spent a couple days with us.Grandma helped make Weston's brownie birthday cake.
"Fire! Hot!"
He knew that the fire was hot and yet he made an attempt to touch the candles. He tried to blow out his candles but couldn't quite do it so Mommy got to do the honors.Weston got into the gift opening this year which was really fun to watch. He understood the concept of gifts and wrapping and understood that the toys were for him. He even pointed to his birthday sign and said, "ABCs! Happy Birthday!".
I have no idea how he knew that this was a Spiderman life jacket, but he knew as soon as he opened it. It's amazing how kids pick up on things. I'm constantly surprised by the things he knows! Weston really liked all his presents. He got a life jacket, a fishing rod, and lots of beach stuff so he's all ready to hit up the lake this summer. He also got some balls, some trucks, and a bubble lawnmower. He's been mowing our livingroom all week.
We had a special little visitor at the birthday party. This guy, who is yet to be named, is my parent's new chocolate lab puppy.
I just noticed the little puppy in the background of this photo. Cute!
Our attempt at a family picture! Weston was waaaay past nap time by this point so he refused to smile.
The next day, there was another package at the front door. Weston saw box and knew immediately that it was a present. He's still wandering around the house, pointing at his presents and saying "Happy Birthday!".
His first remote control car! Daddy drove it and Weston chased it around the living room all night.
Weston had his two-year check up recently. I've been waiting to see if he would make any jumps on the growth chart, but it turns out that our little guy really is just that- a little guy. Here are his latest measurements:
Height: 34 inches (50th percentile)
Weight: 25.5 pounds (20th percentile)
Head: 46.8 cm (10th percentile)
Happy Birthday to my happy, bubbly little boy!
