This is from last Saturday. We went to a party at the community center. The party was AWESOME but Weston was too little to enjoy it. They had some really cool stuff like a Monster Mash dance, a candy corn toss, graveyard putt-putt, cookie decorating....and KUNG FU PANDA! Weston was mesmerized by the panda and followed him around pretty much the whole time we were there. Thankfully, the panda was very patient with him :)Monday, October 31, 2011
Happy Halloween!
Trick or treat! We had a really fun Halloween night. I'm pretty sure Tom and I had more fun than Weston but I think the little guy enjoyed himself as he started to realize people were giving him candy (and granola bars and pretzels and...pudding (?)). We got our little pumpkin all bundled up and we hit up our neighborhood. We went to about 25 houses. The first four houses, we had to drag Weston as he kicked and screamed. After four houses, he stopped screaming at the door but would start screaming as soon as we walked away from the house and back into the darkness. After 8 houses or so, something clicked. He started to get excited to push the doorbell. He started reaching into the candy buckets and plucking out his own pieces of candy and then he would deposit it neatly into his little plastic pumpkin. It was so fun to watch him as he learned and began to enjoy himself! I bet next year will be really fun. We also got the opportunity to introduce ourselves to some neighbors that we had never met in person and that was nice.
