Easter Weekend

Tom and I had a discussion on our long drive home about why it is that we say "Christ IS risen" instead of saying "Christ HAS risen". Jesus rose.... but it was a LONG time ago. I know heaven extends for all of eternity but if Christ was still rising, he'd be REALLY far away by now!

All joking aside, we were able to celebrate a lovely Easter weekend with my family. The highlights included Weston getting to see both of his great grandmas, watching 'The King's Speech' (which is a fantastic movie-two thumbs up from me!), going to mass at the little chapel where I attended grade school (Definitely a stroll down memory lane. It seemed so much bigger when I was kid...) and, of course, my mom's amazing Easter dinner. Weston tried ham for the first time and loved it. Auntie Lora cuddling with Weston

The Easter Bunny stopped at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Weston got a little baseball bat and baseball, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a baseball beach ball. Note the look on Tom's face in this picture. I think Tom was more excited about the baseball gear than Weston was. Tom was practically giddy when Weston picked up the bat with both hands just like a little pro.

The Easter bunny also brought this cute, soft caterpillar which Weston clung to all the way home.

Now Weston can be a cool dude when we go to the lake this summer!

  1. Long drives home are great for discussions, aren't they? That's the only thing I enjoy about the LONG drive we have now to see family.
