We decided to take Weston on his first sled ride this week. He got this really cute infant sled from his Grams and we couldn't wait any longer to try it out! We bundled him up, strapped him in, and made the long journey to the mailbox. We were hoping for some smiles and delighted squeals, but he really didn't have any reaction. It can be tough to smile when you're outside in frigid Minnesota weather, so I understand the blank stare he had on his face the whole time. We'll try again in the near future :)
Daddy feeding Weston his bedtime bottle.
This kid has his head in the books already!
I decided to give the pacifier one last try and all he did was spit it out and stick his fingers in his mouth.Weston is 6 months old today. We celebrated the occasion by paying a visit to the pediatrician's office to get a check up and 4 shots. According to the doc, our little guy is still a little guy! He has managed to maintain his position on the lower quarter of all the growth measurements but the Dr. says this is perfectly fine. Here are his stats:
Height-25.5 inches (20%)
Weight-15lbs, 4 oz (15%)
Head-41.8 cm (5%)
It's been a great 6 months of motherhood. A baby brings so much joy into a home! He has changed so much (and changed me!) in the last 6 months and I am looking forward to the next 6. I often find myself day dreaming about how I will decorate the cake for his first birthday....and then I remind myself to live in the NOW and take a bajillion pictures to try to capture all the amazingness of this special (and all too fleeting) time!
