July 2013

In July 2013, we celebrated five years of marriage.  We just celebrated our 6th anniversary last week and I'm having a tough time recalling what we did for our fifth! I'm pretty sure we sat around the town home and watched my belly wiggle as we speculated about baby #2's facial features, talents, and personality.
Five roses for five years of marriage.
My cousin, Michelle, got married at the end of July.  We didn't know at the time, but it would be the last time we would see my Grandma.  It was a blessing to be able to spend this time with her.  We got a lot of family pictures with her and we had some great opportunity for conversation too.
My dad got to help chauffeur the wedding guests from the parking area to the ceremony site next to the beach.  Weston thought this was a hoot and wanted to drive around with grandpa and Auntie Lora all day!
My baby belly continued to grow and stretch my body in unwieldy proportions as I got closer and closer to my due date.  I think this photo is around 34 weeks.
We ventured out of the house a few times to soak up some summer sunshine.  Weston had his first try at T-ball at a nearby park.  Daddy was much more interested than Weston.

I remember taking this one.  I was about 36/37 weeks pregnant and ready to be DONE!  My blood pressure started to creep up around this time. I also endured some extremely painful gallbladder attacks. If you've never had a gall bladder attack, I can tell you that the pain is worse or at least as bad as labor pains.  I spent more than one night curled up, crying, trying to decide if I should go to the emergency room or not.  Honestly, it was pretty horrible for me.

Here is a photo and video of Weston spending some time with Grams and Grandpa.  One of Weston's favorite activities at their house is assisting Grandpa with "poop patrol" which involves wandering around the yard and collecting dog poo. He loves it!
