Lake Miltona is beautiful. The lake is large and clear, making it perfect for boating, swimming, and fishing. Some lakes leave you with a stinky smell after swimming, but not this lake. Lake Miltona is a great swimming lake. We got in plenty of time tubing, skiing, fishing, swimming, reading, playing games, talking, and just generally relaxing and enjoying the company. There was a small playground with a slide which is where I ended up spending a lot of my time because Weston loves slides. I was nervous about how Weston would do but everything went fine. He loved swimming and surprised me by jumping off the raft into the lake all by himself. After one afternoon of this, he was constantly asking, "I go jump? Jump in waters? I go jump?".
He was into EVERYTHING, so at times I felt the trip was not very relaxing. It was unnerving to be near so many dangerous things. We had to be constantly vigilant to keep him safe. Luckily, there were 5 other sets of adult eyes along, so I did get to take some time off once in awhile while someone else took on the Westonator. My favorite part was swimming to the raft and sunning during Weston's nap. There's nothing like a clear agenda and some sun bathing to help unwind from the stresses of work and everyday life (the Beergaritas may have helped with the unwinding a bit too...)!
Here are my favorite photos from the week:
