Happy Mother's Day!

Here's the latest! We are adjusting to our new schedule with a daddy who doesn't have to do homework every day. Tom was out of town most of last week for work, but we still felt the difference in our schedule as he was able to spend all weekend with Weston and I without thinking about or doing any homework. It was really nice. I'm looking forward to doing lots of things together and doing lots of nothing together, too. We should have many more opportunities to just BE together now that Tom is done with school.
Weston is babbling up a storm these days and his favorite word is, of course, Da Da. He has also learned how to get in and out of the bathtub by himself (much to my chagrin) and he can go up the entire flight of stairs unassisted now. He is still having trouble sleeping through the night but we think we have pinned down the cause. On Wednesday, we asked our daycare provider not to allow him to take such long naps and he actually slept through the night! I think we'll just have ask our provider to keep him on a minimal nap schedule.

Westonator's new 'do.

I had Tom hold him down while I went to town cutting his little locks of baby hair and then I used some of my hair gel to make little spikes. I'm pretty happy with how the haircut turned out, considering that I have no experience doing this sort of thing. I'll admit that I consulted youtube to get some tips :)

Cuteness

Judging by his cheeks in this picture, you might think we have a chunky baby but this is not so. We weighed him this morning and he is 19 pounds right now.

Out cold in the bouncy chair.

I converted his high chair into a booster seat over the weekend and this lovely image is what I found hiding beneath the seat cover. Nice, huh? We have lots of stale cheerios and dried out macaroni if you're interested!

Weston was not happy with the breakfast I made on Saturday... and neither was Daddy.

I may have burned the blueberry pancakes...

"Please, Mommy! Don't make me eat it!"

On a walk on the trails behind our house. The river is still flooding into the overflow area that the city constructed a few years ago.

Muffin accidentally squirted milk all over his face. It was pretty funny.

In honor of Mother's Day, here is a picture of me and my little one. To my Weston: It is such a joy to be your mommy. You are one special little guy! You make me smile every day. I love you!
