Look! We have doors! And the doors have trim!!!!!

Pumpkins from the same patch :)
The trick or treaters have come and gone. The Jack 'o lanterns have been moved curbside to await the garbage man. The Halloween merchandise has been marked down and is quickly being taken over by Christmas items....and Tom and I are nibbling on the remaining bits of candy corn in the pumpkin dish. Another Halloween has passed.
We had a really enjoyable Halloween weekend which consisted of a whirlwind of cleaning on Friday night (Dishes?Check. Bathrooms?Check. 6 loads of laundry?Check), a Saturday morning hanging the trim we painted and cut over the last two weekends, and a Saturday night and Sunday with family in Buffalo. Due to the disappointing turnout we had for trick or treaters at our home last year, we determined that we would have a much better time spending Halloween in Buffalo. My mother in law loves Halloween and it shows all over her house in the many, many, MANY Halloween decorations that she has accumulated over the years. They even had a fog machine this year! We had a good time hanging out, passing Weston around, and eating candy.
In other Smolensky news, we have not seen the white mystery car since the last appearance on Wednesday and we are hoping we never see it again. Perhaps now that Halloween is over, our mystery will be over too. Tom and I have come up with some other plausible explanations for the mystery mobile and the people in it including (but not limited to):
1. Politicians on a door knocking campaign
2. Construction workers from across the street needing to use the restroom
3.The neighbors trying to borrow a cup of sugar
3.The neighbors trying to borrow a cup of sugar
Another major headline from the week is that Weston has found his toes. It is so cute to watch him grab at his feet. Gotta love built-in toys!
Cohen has that exact same Halloween outfit as Weston. Cute.
